At one time, she was the youngest female jockey in Idaho. She is highly skilled in getting horses retrained from off the race track, to being reliable and talented barrel and pole horses. Janet has an interesting and gripping method of teaching her students, how to ride horses, safely, and with winning results. Her experiences with horses, and training, include the following: - training in dressage, hunter jumper, with olympians, and Quadrill - professional race jockey, winning races locally in Idaho - barrel racing, in Idaho, in 2 D and 4 D divisions - 5 year apprenticeship, with Steve Larsen, expert reiner and western trainer - Janet focuses on softness, having a happy, calm horse, body languege of horses, and competitiveness - learning how to ride a competitive horse, fast, and safely, how to get the most out of your horse. - Janet is commited to a drug , alcohol, and tobacco free lifestyle, she is commited to helping teens realize their potential on horseback, on fast horses, and without substance abuse. Who better to teach High School Rodeo events on competitive horses, than a young jockey, who knows how to get the most out of a fast horse, with the safest results? A special offer of 25.00 for the one day clinic, to all Jr and High School Rodeo team members, all other participants are invited at 50.00 per person. Bring your own horse. 15.00 to audit. Clinic is limited to 10 people. Pot Luck lunch, each person bring one dish to feed 10 people. Electricity provided. Scholarships are available ( Janet will discuss this with those applying). Whitewater is very kindly allowing us to put on the clinic, it is required that all participants ride with a helmet, for insurance reasons, helmets will be provided to those that dont have one, please contact Katey or Kaylaa Gutman with questions, and for sign up, payment required upon registration: Clinic, Saturday January 16, 2010, 9 AM to 12 PM, lunch break for one hour, then 1 Pm, until 4-5 PM, as needed.
