Please return all equipment including barrels and poles...

...and clean up the arena.

Arena Policies

Attention all WTRRA users: in order to protect the health of our horses we are asking you to adhere to the following policy.

Please keep your horses tied in areas where they will not come into contact with the WTRRA horses (ie…at your own trailer, hitching rails, etc).

Please do not use any of the pastures or pens for personal use.

Please do not use any watering troughs at the facility for personal use.  Water hydrants are available to fill your own buckets.

If you horse is exhibiting signs of illness, please keep them home, or if not noticed until the horse is at the facility, please keep them in your trailer.

Sign the Rules and Release of Liability prior to use of the arena.

Leave the signed form at the south end of the indoor arena, or in the sign-in box by the round pen.

While therapeutic riding and equine assisted activities have priority, the public is invited to use the arena during open arena hours.

WTRRA depends on donations, fund raising events and grants to maintain and upgrade the facility. Donations are also important to provide equine assisted activities to those served by our mission.
Please sign-in each time you ride at the arena.  This information is important for insurance and grant purposes.  Please read the arena rules, sign the releases and insert them il the folder provided at the south end of the arena.  WTRRA appreciates a $5.00 per person per ride, arena use donation to help cover the heat, light and arena up-keep expenses.  A yearly payment of $100.00 can be made as well to cover as many rides as you wish.

Individuals using the arena to teach or train and are charging the participants must provide WTRRA proof of liability insurance prior to instructing or training at the arena.  A fee of 10% of the amount charged to personal clients will be paid to WTRRA for arena use. 

WTRRA will reserve the arena for special events. clinics, workshops but not for everyday random use by the public. During open arena hours riders will be expected to share the arena. WTRRA is not a membership organization. Your donations and participation in fund raising events is appreciated. Youth programs may use the arena without charge.

During the winter months groups  wishing to use the heat will find a coin operated timer at the North end of the area. $2.50 will run the over head heat for 15 minutes.   Donation boxes are located at each end of the indoor arena.

What is Therapeutic Riding?

Therapeutic Riding can refer to equine assisted activities and therapies EAAT, adaptive riding, Hippotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and  other  professions using equines to address a  spectrum of disabilities and needs.  Instructors and therapists, trained and certified, work with the equine to address physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, paralysis, stroke and traumatic brain injury. Centers work with those with autism, attention deficit disorder, anxiety and depression and have targeted programs to help at-risk youth, veterans and military personnel, seniors with Alzheimer’s and victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

Therapeutic Riding uses equine-assisted activities for the purpose of contributing positively to cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of people with disabilities. Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of therapy, education sport and recreation and leisure.
